Ok, new here, first post, blah, blah, blah...
Learing guitar late in life and love my warehouse sale bargain Balladeer 1861 (cherrycherry). Starting to think about an amp and wondered if anyone has experience with the Fender G-DEC?

Pretty cool little unit!
GREAT for practicing solos (on electric).
Wouldn't recommend it for an acoustic.

Yeah, it was pretty slick. Especially when he was playing that little tiny electric thru it.

I've had one for several months now and still like it. It is a practice amp period though. I play my Ovations thru it but you will have to adjust the settings of the pre sets as all of the pre sets have way too much gain and you will get lots of feed back. I use it quite a bit without even plugging into it. I set up the drum and background stuff and play along with it instead of thru it. Lots of fun. It is a "time hole" though. Go to play for a quick 15 minutes or so and look up at the clock and see you have been playing for over an hour or two.

Thanks everybody, especially you FlyGuy!
Hey, I cruised Anchorage last summer, and fell in love with Alaskan Amber Beer. Can't wait to get back and have some more!

Jeffwork-There are some good G-Dec sites on the web now that have the settings that others have come up with and midi files you can play thru the G-Dec. There is some good stuff on the Fender site about it as well(downloads and such).

Jeff, you don't need to go to Alaska to get Alaskan Amber. Of course, you can if you want to.

It does taste better up here though. Sitting under the midnight sun, along side of a beautiful river sipping on a beer and smokin a great cigar. Damn life is good...

And when Mr Keller said "Man, you suck" I knew I'd been well and truly stumped.
