Location: Gaithersburg, MD | I purchased a damaged 2005 Collector's Edition on ebay several months back (I was aware of the damage at the time of purchase). I sent the guitar directly to Ovation for repair and was told it would take 8 weeks. Six weeks later, the guitar arrived. It is stunning. Ovation replaced the top and put in the missing electronics and came in under the estimated cost! I just wanted to say a public thank you to Ovation for a job well done. Now if only my guitar playing can live up to the guitar! |

How do you like the guitar? Is it living up to your expectations? |

Location: Gaithersburg, MD | I love the guitar. It is lighter than my super shallow bowl Legend and medium bowl Elite T. It is more comfortable to hold and doesn't slip off my lap.
Although the action is a little higher than I like, it is very easy to play. I am primarily a piano and Chapman Stick player and I spend a fair amount of time working on two-handed tapping techniques on Ovation guitars. Suprisingly, it is easy to play two-hand tapping style - I can get more volume when I play chords.
I haven't spent much time with the preamp yet - I am enjoying the unplugged sound. The guitar projects very well with a nice rich bottom end.
I would highly recommend the guitar. |
