All;

I have a chance to buy an Ovation 1113 classical but I don't know much about them.

Anyone know what they are selling for nowadays? What would a hardshell case for one cost?

TIA

Nice guitars. About $300.00, mint. $95.00 for a case. Puts you in the ballpark, anyway.

I'd restring it with the high tension nylons.

Ditto on the high tension nylons. :)

I like D'Addario EJ46 Hard Tension. They seem to last longer than the regular Tension and are not really much harder to play.

Here's one on ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/Ovation-USA-Classical-electric-mod-1863_W0QQite...

I bought the guitar, the case is a little rough but the guitar is nice.

What is the difference between regular and high tension strings? I take it they are strung tighter, would this have any effect on the bridge on an older guitar? (Mine is a '79)

I see some string sets come with 2 G strings??

Any comments on ball end versus regular end strings?

Can't speak for Waskel, but I doubt he was jumping on you. I thought the pics in your post were great and appropriate for the thread.

Please repost them. I for one, need lessons on how to post pics.

No, wasn't jumping on anyone. I don't jump much anymore.

I was just thinking it would be nice to have a sticky to refer new members to explaining how to post links to images and URLs, and how to d/l images to their photo albums.

I still haven't figured out how to post links or pics. If we do a seminar, can the teacher be someone who uses words that I understand? I don't know if such a person exists. Now that my second kid is in college, I don't have anyone who can try to explain it to me. They never had the patience anyway.

And for those of you who prefer to put the code in yourselves, here is a link to the UBB code instructions.
