I think his video camera is a Sony that records on 3 1/2 disc.

Cliff, PLEASE don't tell Michael that he's got a slothead that pumps like a Martin Dread. For christ sake we'll never hear the end of it. The guy has ears that hear things nobody else does. Typical situation:

Playadamas: "Now, listen to that 3rd harmonic it's got much clearer ring on this guitar compared to that one. If you tilt the guitar 2 degrees towards the floor the whole sound really opens up. Listen."

StandingO: "Yeah, Mike, whatever. It's blue and it's fun to play. Next."

Brad;
I'm working on something that I'll send you for the calendar, if y'want it(it follows along the line of Bill's suggestion . . .).
I'll send you a "rough concept", once I have something somewhat "presentable" . . . .

Adamas #3000:
I'm assuming that it was just s/n 3000.
Somebody played it, and said "hey! this thing sounds GOOD!!"
(Bill'd have to elaborate . . .)
This thing's got some MondoBoffo bass response!!!

The "XmasBowl":
This was AT the last Tour (but it was hidden behind the "BlackCurtain"). When Darren and I were discussing "off the wall" finishes, he broke down and showed this to me, but made me promise "not to tell" . . .
This visit, since it was laying out in the open, I figured it was "FairGame" (Louie in Engineering even wiped it down for me so I could get a nice pic:-) I flipped it over, and got a shot of the top too, but it's so much like a MIRROR that you really just see a reflection of the shop ceiling & lights.

I also got a pic of a REALLY cool CustomOrder, but Louie made me PROMISE not to publicize it, as the celeb recipient'd probably get pissed if it got out before he/she saw it . . . .

Dave;
What the f&*^k do I care????
If I wanted a guitar that sounded like a Martin dread, I'd BUY a Martin dread!!! The thing I like about MY guitar is that it has a distinctive sound (that DOESN'T sound like a Martin dread) . . . .

True story - 1985 - I was in Atlanta - actually looking for an Elite - not a dreadnaught. None of the stores had one in natural - so I passed - a sales person sent me to another store - but they did't have one either - but they had this slothead sitting in the corner. I played it for a few hours, and even commented that it sounded more like a dreadnaught than any other Ovation I had ever played. I was not saying it was better or worse - just sounded more like a dreadnaught. I purchased it - fast forward 20 years to the vibrometer, and Darren says out of the blue - look ...this one reacts closer to a dreadnaught Martin than the others. Not better - not worse - it just is....Thanks for bringing it up Cliff - yopur sheet of cookies example is right on - the fact is they all taste goooooood. It's just weird to have someone 20 years later ...out of the blue ...confirm something I had said in passing...my ears did not deceive me! Any yes - I was like the little child who was left overnight in Toys R Us. It was great.
