Joined: November 2004 Posts: 1374 | Ok so it's not "new" but is by far the mintiest Ovation I have ever had, the 85 collectors sent me from the ark is very, very nice, restrung it with elixir 10's and for my 1st shallow bowl I am very pleased with its sound. has the preamp I am most familiar with OP24 and plugged into my little pa or amp is pretty amazing. a couple of questions now that my fingers are tired and sore. this guitar is #800 according to the COA and Label according to the Ovation site only 715 were made? huh? this one is finished in what I would call a cherryburst rather than the regular sunburst which is on the Ovation website. were there custom ordered collectors? or were they offered in other available finishes as well? as always one of the best burst finishes there are. this is my 1st Ovation that has no finish cracks, or battle scars.... I'll do my best to keep it that way... pics in the gallery soon... Thanks Noah, God Bless, Glenn

If they made 715 and started at 100, yours would be #700/715 made. Just a guess. Ask StandingO. He's the guy with the answers.

I have 2 sets of Martin Marquis...xtra lights.. silk ends.. Haven't figured out whether I like the Elixirs on this one or not... needs a little adjustment so will change out on monday when I pull a shim and give the TR a tug or 2 God Bless, Glenn

Joined: November 2004 Posts: 1374 | it is a very nice looking guitar and I have found that on the shallow-bowls if you watch your technique..(meaning try to use one)... they do sound very rich... maybe not as resonant... but still full... as long as I don't mute the top in any way. and it loves to be played hard.... strings are settled in and gave the neck a little more relief. now it's butter... God Bless, Glenn
