HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
Does anyone know where I can get inlays installed on a fretboard (currently has none) And what it might cost? Can it be a DIY project?
Nothin crazy, diamonds or dots. |

Location: Phoenix AZ | Tough to do good inlay work on a board that's already fretted, so you should plan on a refret job as well. Wild ass guess, maybe $350?
Yes you could do it yourself with a precision router and the proper potting and leveling tools. But I would practice on more than a few sample boards before I attempted my own already built guitar. And you'd also have to be able to do the refret job which probably takes more skill than the inlays. You may be up to it, but no me.

Location: Carle Place, NY | I wouldn't try a DIY inlay. Instead for just a few bucks you can get super thin stick-ons. They're cheap, come in lots of shapes and colors, and if you don't like them just peel them off. |
