Secondly when I'm not sitting on the deck playing "Four Strong Winds" and annoying the neighbor's cat, I'm listening to music. Know that there are a couple of Jerry Douglas fans here in the forum. His newest release is great: "The Best Kept Secret" Lots of guests and great dobro and lap steel. |

FYI Dobro Fans. I was taking the US Congressional Bi-Partisan Committee through a Climbing Program for a day and for the party afterward, they hired a band called Bering Strait - A Russian Country/ New Grass Band (I'm not kidding) made up of 6 young classically trained muscians from some very elite ("Secret City") school in Russia. All incredibly talented, but the Dobro/LapSteel player was exceptionally so. The best I've heard since Jerry Douglas....and he's 25 years old
Give a listen to "From Ankara to Izmir" - Alexander "Sasha" Ostrovsky |
