Have never tried any other nylon Ovation (never felt the need to go look for one really) but I never regretted owning this one.

Just kind of bumped into this guitar and loved the feel so I bought it when I was young thinking that I'll eventually get serious enough to learn a little classical. Long story short - never did, but have never really pursued the option of selling it despite the fact that I play a couple other guitars a little more often. Thought about it a couple of times but just haven't been able to pull that trigger.

I love the 1713 and have played some other more traditional classical guitars and didn't like them. I have never had the chance to play a real high end classical guitar, but the 1713 is more than I need.

Even though the guy didn't have a digital camera to post photos, he assured me in many emails that it was in pristine condition. I could see the volume knob in the pictures of the other one for sale though, so it apparently has electronics. It looks very nice also, but the one I bought has been factory upgraded with an OP24. Also, mine came with the hard case and the other one only comes with a gig bag. I'm so happy ... my first Ovation with a slot head (:
