They have listed a second show on Thursday, Dec 1, 7:30PM.

I am going and I'm in Row A in the balcony. My favorite seats in the Opera House! 20 Bucks.

Since I live close to BAM, if anyone is interested in going, come by my house for a drink at 6:00ish. Leave your coats there. Check out my 1624, my MEWP-I and my OSP-1!. Or just drink!

You can buy the tickets over the phone and pick them up at the box office. Number is on the website.
PM me if you want to drop by before the concert.

I heard that John Cale will be performing too.
Also, Flea!

My buddy said he'll be in Patti's band, though the website says nothing about it. I hope it's true. Here's an article from yesterday's times about Cale.

Let Kaye know that an Ovationista is up in the cheap seats chearing for him.

Darn, I wish Cale would be there. Anyway, my offer still stands if anyone wants to drop by before the concert. Horses was really an influential album, and in my book, Patti Smith and her band more influential artists, U2 should be opening for them!

One last bump. And just to mention, according to my wife, just down the street from me they are opening a Guitar Center, and thursday night is the opening night. They'll be open from 7 to 12, so you may be able to get some good deals. She says it's as big as the one on 14th street. That's F'n big. So that's where I'm going after the concert.

Brief review:
Excellent concert, reminded me of the old days. They started off a little shakey but every song got deeper into the grove.
Flea was a character, his bass playing was not superstupendous, but more than adequate. His speaker made him too muddy.

Lenny Kaye was on top of his game
Tony Shanahan played keyboards and bass, played bass better than Flea.
Tom Verlaine was too much in the background providing only an occassional grace note.
Smith was herself.
High points were Horses, and Rock and Roll Nigger. On Rock and Roll Nigger, both Flea and Shanahan playing bass, and Smith and Kaye playing rythym guitar. Great throbbing Rock and Roll.
Cheers
