You can have your local guitar center order them for you, if not in stock, try them, and then return them on the spot for a full refund. And you won't have to mess with the shipping! Please try them! |

Location: Boise, Idaho | Guitar Center owns Musician't Friend and will usually match any online price. The one here won't take back a guitar bought off Musician's Friend, though. My daughter got one with a problem from MF and had to send it back. They got it fixed, but she paid a bunch for shipping 3 times. |

Reshipment was also free. This was within the last year. |

Location: Hicksville, NY | I have/had my share of doing business with MF. In the past, I normally purchase accessories (e.g. microphone cables, bulk strings) ... basically small items where I don't have to worry about returns and such.
1 1/2 weeks ago, I purchased a LX1E at MF as a present for my sister this Christmas. It arrived at my door step (via UPS) two days ago, and after nearly a day in room temperature, I took it out of the box to try it out. I was surprised at the sweet sound and playability of this little baby, and the set-up was nice and low fresh out of the box. No buzzes and dead notes either. Plugged in, it sounds like a full-size guitar. The only difference that the LX1E has -- compared to my current LXM -- is that is has a solid spruce stop and a Fishman preamp. It also has a much brighter sound. Other than that, the rest of the guitar's anatomy is made of the same composite materials.
Other than a receipt for the sale, there is no return shipping form attached anywhere. That means, if I have bad news with this guitar, I'm basically SOL and have to pay the shipping myself? *knock on wood* I must've gotten lucky so far.
I put the baby back in the shipping box, and just finished wrapping it with a bow as a finishing touch. My sister will be one happy camper in two weeks, when I hit the road to visit my family in Syracuse for the holidays. :) |
