Hi,

Since 2 days, I'm in contact with a nice french guy who just bought a vintage 1111-1 Balladeer. His name is Mikka Grytviken.
It's his first Ovation and he's in love with this guitar.
He has recorded a small demo with this guitar called "Ballade pour un Balladeer".
You must listen to this mp3!!! BALLADE POUR UNE BALLADEER
Look at the end of the page.
I'm sure you will enjoy it. ;)

It's really a great sample of Ovation's sound!!
When I think that some cretins still thiking that Ovation are not great sounding guitars...

J :)

Great, great sound - the one we all love. (Way better than Eltjo's sound on Santa Claus on the other thread).
Your friend plays really well- very European - but French? Mikka Grytviken? Are the Finnish police looking for him? :)

Hi Schroeder,

I'm glad you like this demo.

Maybe the police is looking for Mykka but he's French. :D
He's born in 1971 in a town called Vendôme.
Now, he lives under the sun in the French Antilla.

I love his acoustic guitar style.
The "French Touch" like he says.

Sounds great... I'm always impressed with the recorded sound from all my Ovations... When I need a quick track I can plug them in directly to the recorder and get a clean workable track with no hassles...
