If you do a search, I think I posted my impressions on it. Do you have to have a new 6774 LX? For a lot less, my 1983 1674 is going on the market next week.

I will say this: I think every Ovation/Adamas classical will benefit from high tension strings. This example did not suffer from the whole short-scale, low tension, intonation problems up the neck, but it did not ring out the way mine does (cedar top) with Savarez 520P1's. Don't forget about the S773-4 (cedar), or the new 1863 (spruce top) either. I also played a Cedar top Balladeer. Now that caught my ear. Very "mellow" and earthy for a steel string.

I have found with my 1778LX it is very responsive to what you do with it. While my preference is the multiholes a nice Folklore LX sounds inviting.

I didn't mention the LX, but he is on the lookout for something with a wide neck and steel strings. MWoody I prefer the multi sound holes most of the time myself, but I have also played some of the older deep bowl legends that really project and feel great.
