Location: Marlton, NJ | I'm sitting here in an office in Plano, Tx where I have been planted for the past three days. I'm going through withdrawal since this is the longest I've been without a guitar since I started playing again. Two more days.... I feel the callouses slowly healing.
Just felt like venting.
Oh yeah - I miss my wife and kids too! |

Location: Hicksville, NY | I have a Little Martin (LXM) that I carry around, especially on long, and extended trips. Last year, I was hospitalized for diverticulitis, while vacationing in Atlantic City for the July 4th weekend. My wife was with me briefly, but she had to take the trip to NY to take care of our obligations back at home. Through most of the 7 days I spent there, I was alone mostly, but that guitar kept me company. In those days when I wasn't in pain, and could take a walk in the hallway, I even managed to visit a few rooms within the unit and sang a song or two to some of the fellow patients.
When I think about that experience to this day, I strongly feel that music played a vital role to my speedy recovery, in addition to the regimen of pain killers and all sorts of medication that I either ingested orally or were injected in me. |

Location: Colorado Rocky Mountains | I thought seriously about picking up one of the Traveler series guitars along with a multi-effects stomp box to haul around on business trips, the motorcycle, etc., to keep myself occupied during idle times. They're small enough to stuff into a backpack (with some protrusion out the top) or a soft sided duffle. Anybody have any experience with one of these? |

During the week I have it with me at work and I try to practice for at least 20 minutes a day during my lunch hour. It's about the size of a tennis raquet, very portable.
If and when you are ready to purchace one call up the company for a discount code. They run promotions from time to time. I saved $25 off of the price. I ordered mine from Musicians Friend (No tax and free shipping). |

The Traveler has been with me all except for a three day shot into JAX. It is a great little guitar to have around when you can't have the real thing. I trotted it out at Moody's party and several folks here got a chance to mess with it ... with pretty favorable feedback. The guitar isn't dirt cheap (and IMHO you really need to have a Pandora for it), but it is well worth it and the quality of the finishing is outstanding. |
