Location: Cicero, NY | Was thrown a couple of tickets to go see the Saturday Night Live Review over the weekend. Joe Piscopo, Victoria Jackson and Father Guido Sarducci performed and I can only give it one word.
ExcruiatinglyPainful.
The Father provided a couple of chuckles but, beyond that, there was nothing of any comic value at all. I know it's a tough biz but I felt sorry for all three of them. Must give Joe a single prop for his musical abilities though - played a 1755 (I believe - good looking 12 string deep bowl that sounded great) and then moved to a sax, a flute, the piano and the drums, where he did a surprisingly nice job on a jazz number. If any of our Jersey guys happen to see him (he will probably be in a soup row by next week if this is all he's got), please tell him that the Sinatra impression is 30 years old and wasn't really that funny when it was fresh. Victoria simply died and nobody had the class to save her.
Man. I just hate seeing people who can't let it go. |

Victoria Jackson used to be "cute" until she ate John Belushi.
There was talk a while back that Piscopo was considering running for some State office.
If he'd been elected, I woulda' MOVED. |
