I have an ovation CS257. I purchased it 3yrs ago. The guitar is 90% no sound comes out when I plug-in to the amp. the guitar comes with a op30 pre-amp. The pre-amp works fine to me. I am wondering if there anything I can do to fix this problem! THX guys!

Welcome Ernest.
Please clarify your problem.
(I probably don't know the answer, but someone will!)

Ahhh! Good to see someone else as new here as me!

As a former IT troubleshooter (couldn't get out of that job fast enough!), I suggest you make sure you are looking at the right piece of equipment before assuming the worst. Try using a different cable and the same amp. Try using the usual cable with a different amp. Try using a different cable and a different amp. If all this fails, it's time to look more closely at your guitar. And, come to think of it, you may want to put a fresh battery in the thing. Even if your present battery is relatively new, you may have installed a dud.

Good luck

IT Troublemakers, er, trouble shooter?

The parts of the sound assembly with the OP30 are:
Undersaddle piezo pickup
preamp
Preamp socket
Output jack wire harness
Battery

Isolating where the problem is helps. Customer Service can support the OP 30.
