Hi all,
I just joined a few minutes ago since my wife recently bought me my first Ovation (used) guitar. She picked it up on E-bay. I know nothing about Ovation's since I'm a blue's solid body man. Anyway I was hoping someone could tell me something about this model (CC267). I went to your reference area and found it is a 95' model (used serial #), but is it a korean model? I assume it is a Celebrity. It will be delivered here tomorrow from TX. and is supposedly in mint condition but it was also supposedly a 96' model according (again) to your reference/Ser/Mod area I found out differently.
Any info would be greatly appreciated. By the way, she paid $355 plus $40 S/H for it. Was this a good deal on a "MINT" condition Celebrity?
Thanks again!
Floor

Celebs don't have the same serial system as the made in america ovations. Since your wife bought it, it is not just good, but it's a wonderful deal.

Welcome floorrumbler,

Could you post a link to the sale?

I'm assuming it is a celebrity. I did not find anything on Ovation's website.

First off ...WELCOME ABOARD !

That is a Korean made model and it's a Celebrity Deluxe model and they sell usually around $350.00 to $400.00 new and I've seen 'm as low as $269.00 used/new with little wear.

You can read reviews here of what others paid and what they think of that model !

Welcome! I wish my wife would buy me a guitar - it would be easier than sneaking them into the house. :D

Welcome to the OFC. Some of us have great guitars and some of us have great wives. The most blessed are those with both.

And some of us with both just like to whine. My wife buys me a new guitar every 30 years. First the Matrix and then the 30th Anniversary Custom Legend. Can't wait to see what she gets me in 2037.

Welcome aboard floorrumbler.

You have a great wife, and a great guitar. The only problem seems to be, one is never enough.

How many times do I gotta tell you guys: Always buy guitars of the same color - your wife won't notice a new one.
