Anyone catch the Grammy Awards show last night? Wyclef Jean playing an O (looked like a Legend cutaway) at the beginning of 'Hips Don't Lie' with Shakira, then passes off the guitar to someone else who's visible in the background for most of the song. If I find a vid capture I'll post the link to the Youtube thread and announce it here.

Shakira's my girl! Best performance of the night. Also, liked James Blunt.

It looked to me like Wyclef was playing a slim body like a viper with a soundhole with a bung cover, definitely was an ovation by the headstock. Not sure who, he handed it too. Fortunately, I taped it and can look at it later. Then the person in the band was definitely playing a legend. These were the only ovations I spied during the broadcast.

Gibson acoustics, and teles in various guises, seemed to be the guitars of choice.

Man,the work I do for you guys ... I had to review Shakira's video in slow motion ...

And I learned that Wyclef was playing either a legend or a custom legend, and he handed it off to a stage hand.

Shakira's guitarist played his own ovation.

So there were two ovations on the grammies.

I kept trying to look at those Ovations during the performance, but for some reason my attention was drawn somewhere else . . .

Your vigilance, nay self-sacrifice above and beyond the call of duty, is greatly appreciated! ;)

I think you're right about the Custom Legend - it looked like it had lots of bling.
