Location: Boston MA area | I want to adjust the truss rod on my deacon 12 and deacon 6 string electric guitars.
Is there something different about these? Is this a 2 way adjustable rod or is it the standard where you tighten the rod in the clockwise direction viewed neck down and it flattens the fretboard (bends it up towards the strings)?
Or is it reversed where I tighten counterclockwise?
Thanks |

Location: Boston MA area | Thanks! Do you think I should loosen the strings before tightening it? Some guitars I have need to have their strings tuned way down before the rod turns easily. I sont want to strip it. |

Location: Upper Left USA | I usually pull back on the neck as I tighten. Only take 1/16th turns. |
