Occasionally I'll use a Boss GE-7 Equalizer pedal. Mainly for the 97 Collectors and my 1115 pacemaker which I have a thinline pickup in.

I use a DigiTech Hyper Phase, DigiDelay, and the Bad Monkey. I use these with my Ovation. I tried to use the Bad Monkey with an Alvarez and the answer is no, but with my O awesome.

I use a Line 6 Pod XT Live for my solid/semi-hollow bodies and O's with a VIP; a Boss AD-8 for all other piezo pickups; a Roland GR-20 for midi. Sometimes I run these into the BBE sonic maximizer DI. Sometimes I use the BBE by itself. I especially like the Martin > BBE > Bose rig.

I've got a "poor man's solution" a Digitech RP50 multiFX box. Gives a lot of effetcs to play with, sounds ok, not great. I use it mainly for silent practice with my electric (plug headphones directly into it) and for plugging in to my computers soundcard.

For acoustic, I use only delay, reverb and chorus. I get all I need via an old Zoom 504 that handles all of these functions quite well.

G'day fugot. I'd like to get some pedals but I haven't a clue where to begin, so this post might answer some questions for me.

Like Vic I've got a Fender G-DEC which I fool around with but I've only had it a few months so it's a bit of a learning process for me at the moment.

I've been primarily an acoustic player for nearly 30 years and have only recently discovered the joys of playing "plugged in"

I'm still trying to figure this out myself. At present, I use a Keeley Blues Driver (for blues),Digitech RP100A (from some electrics), Zoom A2.1u Accoustic, and Boss RC-20XL Loop. Over the next year, I'd like to further experiment with pedals for compression, fuzz, possibly an enhancer, and a wah-wah. If I could only keep one, it would be the Loop machine for solo performing (thanks, Kaki, for demonstrating the value of these things).

I use a Boss AD-5 for my DI, and currently have a Boss Delay and a Boss Chorus in my signal chain for my Custom Legend.

I have a Zoom 504 (first series) and like a couple of the sounds, but mine is noisy.

I have a BBE Stinger sitting around idle.

Paul, plug that Stinger in and use it. Just makes the guitars sing out with the added enhancements!

I've used a plethora of pedals and effects units, among them, a range of digitechs, including the digiverb, which is the best, if your amp doesn't have a reverb.

I've used the POD 2.0, POD xt, various zoom units and a yamaha magic stomp.

Now I plug my electrics into my amp, and use the amps spring reverb, and no pedals; and for the acoustics, I plug them into an alesis multimix 6fx. I guess I found that I didn't like carrying around the pedals. As for the multieffects boxes, I found I liked the plain amp sound. The reason I like the multimix, is its like a reverb pedal on steroids and has clean sound and very portable. Plus I can use it as mixer.

Why do you use them?
To make a more full sonic pallete.

If I got another pedal in the future it would be an aural exciter and / or compressor. But to say I need an exciter or a compressor ... nah.
