Location: New Orleans | Whilst sitting here browsing the net just looking at many beautiful guitars, (only because fate sucks and had me just go thru my second shoulder surgery in 6 months, so once again, I can't play my beloved "O")
I happened to come across this link...
http://www.wikihow.com/Make-a-Rubber-Band-Guitar
and realized that I was very fortunate that I am from the 60's and not the "high-tech" 21st century. My first guitar was very hard to fret and had the plunkiest sound ever but I now relish that memory after seeing THIS "box" guitar.
I wonder if someone has actually built this thing to play with?!?!? :D |

There was a link in there about an Art Project using old guitar strings as well! Nice, odd offering LeStrange! |

Hey, I made rubber-band guitars when I was a kid! Wish I had that info! I nailed plywood and a 1x2 together. I first tried twine, like my Roy Rogers toy guitar had. Then moved to heavy rubber bands.
In 20/20 hindsight, that toy guitar that I destroyed was probably just as good as any 3/4 guitar that they sell at Wally World now. |
