glenn,
did you purchase this guitar new? if used, how long have you had it?
i imagine the 1985 collectors are not as readily available as some of the other collectors units, especially in the 12 stringers. what's your take on that? i really like the burst/color combo on this one. wowzy!!

the guitar has been "in the family" and "available for adoption" for a while now...I received the guitar from Noah, in almost new condition. only a little damage on the treble epi and couple tiny dings when I got it... then the neck got whacked. and I well... anyway we're square and still friends.

It has belonged to a few other OFC members over the years and it is a Very Low ser# for a 12 #800.. and is probably one of the very first in the run, I never asked. It was the first year that a 12 was made a collectors as well.

It sounds very good for a shallow bowl 12. not a 1758 by any means.. but also more comfortable to play with my more pronounced round front. it has an op24. I like the satin or natural necks, this one's a nice satin.

the autumnburst is really nice and has a great wow factor when playing out.

the re-finish and the fretwork that was just done on this guitar is beautiful...

where the epi was chipped/damaged they clean cut the edge on the veneer and dropped/inlaid a new piece in.. the new piece is blended in pretty well and just looks like another type of wood.

if it still had the skidpad on the back and some hang tags... it would pass for brand new.

Tony once described it as a "truly exceptional 12-string"..

it is again. and I agree.

Glenn
