I'd like to bid on this but I'm a little concerned with the sellers feedback rating of only 2. Although at least he throws in free shipping. Any advice?

Actually, I'm gonna pass. The seller does not accept PayPal. His loss. I would have bought it.

That's a hell of a comeback.

Gone over a year after a few purchases from Shaper Image and BAMMMMMM!

For the price I'd want at least 6 strings...

Dave,

You can probably get this one from Crimson Lake for a mear $5K!

He takes Paypal and if you stand back about 30 yards it looks like the same dang thing!

Hope this helps...

Woody, that's a nice instrument, but the strings are made of the wrong material and there's too many of them.

The amazing thing about this Martin uke is that there's another one just like it on ebay for $6000. that by comparison seems like an absolute bargin!

So... you were employing sarcasm...?

Personally I've never tried that before.

Much...

Are the pictures for the $50K unit perchance borrowed from the $6K unit? You just have to love Ebay.

Tell ya what... I'll remove the steel and replace them with 4 nylon strings... I think one of my kids has a uke laying around somewhere... for you $4k (shipping included).

Did you actually look at the website though?? Its NOT a museam, its just a bunch of pictures some guy collected and posted! Thre is no physical location, and thier contact info is a PO box. This has scam written all over it.. Some very bored person disigned an etire website of 'cut and paste' information so they can try and sell a $50k uke on ebay... just my opinion though.. one of you bid on it to see what you get! I'd do it, but I have a strict rule of only dealing with sellers who have feedback of 3 or more.

nasdtrader,
noticed that. that is why i didn't say the seller had a nice museum. i did email them and am awaiting a response about a physical vs. virtual museum. $50K is absolutely ridiculous even for a koa 5 K martin. i've seen one sell on ebay to a japanese person for $18K but they usually sell for $6-10K depending on condition. i agree it looks real suspicious.

Maybe the 6K Martin is his under another ID, and he just jacked this price to make that one look like a bargain.
Here's another Art that needs protecting.

by the way, i emailed the seller and asked if his "museum" was actual of virtual. he responded "virtual". so i emailed again to ask if he was in possession of the martin 5K ukulele he had listed on eBay. he just replied that yes, he owns it and all the other instruments he has listed on eBay as well as the ones on his website.

3.7 Million for a guitar? What the hell is this guy up to? And how can he even afford the ebay listing fees. This has got to me a scam.
