That's right, my 1685 arrived safely yesterday up in Utah where I will be going to visit him next week. A bunch of us hawaiians are getting together to play at my sister in laws party and I can't wait to strum my new baby! Then it will be time to bring her back home to warm Hawaii after the weekend. Here's my question for you experienced travelers. Do you usually check in the guitar in the hard case before the flight, or do you try and carry it on the airplane and hope they can store it in the plane? If checked in I assume they will handle it with care???? The OHSC should suffice in terms of protection, right? Clarke

There was even some letter I found that said guitars could be carried on the plane. I took one down and back to Phoenix. Southwest had told us that I had to check it, so I packed it in an Ovation box, but when I got there, they said with the box it was oversize and would cost $60 extra. Then she asked why I didn't just carry it on. The first flight was to Las Vegas and every other person had a guitar. I tried to get on fairly early and put it with the head first toward the back. That way there was room to pack stuff around it. If I tried again, I would pack some extra foam around the neck and on top, so that if I had to check it, it wouldn't get broken in the case.

Remember, on most airlines you buy a ticket, on Delta you only buy a chance.

I used to fuel them all, remember, so we'd dump on whoever wasn't paying their bill on time. 4. How about a boat? Last time I was on a plane it was for the NAMM show, Jan 06. I'll take my Suburban if I need to go somewhere.

(i've never flown first class!) there is usually more storage space available up there. it would be worth a try.
