I need somebody's help. I inherited an Ovation model 1233-4 I know very little about it, I believe it to be early 70s ? Also no idea what the approximate value might be? It's in reasonable shape although the finish on the back of the kneck has cracked. Plays great.

Thunderhead. Go to the green bar on the left of your screen, or if you don't have it, click on Ovation Fan Club on the bottom of the page. Click Reference then Serial and Model Numbers, then scroll down to the section on four digit numbers. It's a more comprehensive list than the discontinued models list on the Ovation site.
Or click on the link to Baron Audio and check out Miles' collection of Ovation electrics.
