Hi Folks,
I received an email recently from someone looking for a single tuning machine for a 70's Balladeer. The picture of the broken one wasn't that great but I realized it was the standard Ovation tuner with the chrome thumb part and the black casing. Those that are following this far know this is the one that mounts with the TWO offset set-screws.

It turns out, his original machines do NOT have offset screws. They are in line.

Has anyone seen the chrome with black case Schaller, Ovation logo tuner with "in line" set screws??? I have never seen one like that, so I'm just curious how common they were.

I'm answering this blind, Miles, so feel free to point and laugh at me...

They sound similar to the tuners on my Breadwinner. From memory they are chrome, with black casing. Although I couldn't tell you about the fixings... I'll check later and pop back here.
