Hello brethren!

Can anyone go to this link and identify what sort/model of Ovation roundback 12 we have here?

Queen Houston 77

The year is 1977 so I assume the guitar might be a 77 or so as well.

Thanks and God bless!

It is difficult to be certain from the poor resolution of the video, but from the position markers visible during the introduction, it appears to be a basic 1615-4, acoustic-electric 12-string from that era.

Well, there you go!

Brian has used Ovation 12s throughout Queen and his solo career, although his 6 of choice is something else (I don't recall what, but it's not what I would consider mainstream).

Whenever Freddie picked up a 12 (occasionally for Crazy Little Thing when he wasn't using a Tele) he usually had an O 12 as well.

Michael - thanks for your message, incidentally. I'm really sorry for the delay in coming back to you - I've been out quite literally every evening for the last four weeks solid. I will reply properly shortly, I promise!

I believe the 6 string acoustic that Brian uses is a Chet Atkins thin body, the CE something by Gibson... Thanks everyone! MJK
