I've been very impressed with the hercules guitar stands, and I'm in the market for a microphone stand, and I was wondering if anyone here had an opinions about the hercules mic stands, imparticular this one:

My local GC doesn't have any in stock, so if you guys say its OK, then I'll go for it.

Thanks.

That one is good and sturdy,I particularly like the Yellow color at the base, easy to see in the dark, otherwise ,Koenig and Meyer (heavy / costly )
btw,while you `re at it,get cableclips,saves you from aggrevation

if the hercules guitar stands are any indication as to the quality of the mic stands, they oughta be good 'uns. sorry, but i have no first-hand experience with 'em.

I agree. I just bought another Hercules guitar stand. I keep one at church so this one I'll use at home.

I agree with you guys, the guitar stands are excellent. But I need a boom stand that folds up; my inclination is to say that if the guitar stand is a quality product, then the mic stand would be, but I've not been able to get my mitts on one.

Ditto on the Herc's. GoodStuff.

I don't have any of their mic stands, but I have a DoubleGuitar stand that I "grafted" a mic boom to the top of and use for gigs. It's RockSolid.

Isn't it Hercules that make the LONG ones that "arch" up from the base on the floor??

THOSE are cool, but I never have that much "floor space" at gigs for one . . .

I may be a little late noticing this thread, but I have two cents of input. I use that very mic stand every week at church. Works GREAT. I originally got it as a sturdy stand to put my monitor speaker on (without the boom). It worked well for that, also. I also use a Hercules triple-head instrument stand and wall hangers. All of them are very reliable and convenient.

Brief review of the MS631B stand

Sturdiest studliest mic stand I've ever owned.

Solid construction throughout, folds up relatively small, weighs about 10 Lbs. Boom is easy to set, and the clutch makes adjustments easy. Breaks down to be about 30 inches long. Highly recommended. 4.5 stars out of 5. Use with confidence.
