| Is it very hard to lower the action on my Adamas op50 or will I get it done professionally... in that case, how much will it be...help |

Location: Orange County, California | Not at all Stan. It's very easy. Usually all you have to do is remove a shim from under the saddle. Perhaps when you change your strings. Do you change your own strings Stan? |

Location: Boise, Idaho | I think it still shows you how in the manual. My newest is a couple years old. You can do it by loosening the strings, but it's easier to just take them off. Remove shim, put saddle back, tune strings. |

Second, take out a shim
Third, take a Hammer and tune all the Taylors, manually and completely
Fourth, take out your Hamer and play a tune about it |

| LOL thanks for the help lads, its my first Ovation so the hammer`s out...I`ll take a look at the saddle the next time I restring...is it easy to get out or will it take the claw end of the hammer. |

Really easy Stan. Some of us do it without taking the strings all the way off. I just loosen them enough to lift them completely up off the saddle. You might want to take the access cover off the back to loosen the wire running from the OP-50 (your preamp, not the model of your adamas BTW) up to the saddle. Then you can push up on the wire to help get the saddle out of the bridge.

| I did like you said...took the bridge off and took out the three shims...its amazing and so darn easy..even I did it... oh p.s its a W597 not an OP-50 |
