The award ceremony is making the rounds on you local public TV station.
Good stuff.
Very good lap steel work when Allison Crouse is onstage. (damn... did I spell that right??)

Okay... okay... I give.
Just watch the damn show fer cryin' out loud.

BTW.... I pondered whether to write "lap steel" or "dobro". The deciding factor was that the action seemed to be set about 2" high and the way it was held. The fact that it had a guitar body gave me pause, but I had to go one way or the other.
Perhaps someone will step up & volunteer to be my proof reader my???

"Krauss"

and I'm assuming that it was, once again, Jerry Douglas playing the Dobro

Ah... the East German spelling of the name rather than the West German. A common mistake on my part.
I thought it was gratious of Artie to show up given his small roll in the event and the (IMO) cold shoulder he was given.
From the book I recenty read there was bad blood between them right from the early years.

"...but I had to go one way or the other."

Sometimes you just gotta walk out on that ledge, Brad. You get props from me for the effort. ;)

It was a good show but, did Art seem a little out o place in his one song?

It ran late here, I watched until 10:30 but had to go to bed.
I didn't get to see Artie, but I'm not feeling like I missed much. His voice never did much for me...and that's all he's got. Not that Paul's that great a singer, but that's not what the show was about. Which would explain Lyle Lovette (who I also like) croaking out two numbers.

. . . and while I couldn't see how much bread he had at his table, . . it was a small "role" . . .
