i be the hawaiian putt-putt king. we will have a putt-putt championship at our next southern/tropical ofc shindig. i putt-putt best just after consuming a bowl of chili so we will have a chili cook-off just prior.

I can't recall... did Al tell and encourage the owner of #29 to join the OFC?

Normally I'd say that I'd get behind that...BUT not after all that chili...I'll be upwind if possible...lol :o

I had a natural top 3pu Les Paul Custom from 1977...bought it from Doug Fenton at Deitz...seems like it was around $650.00...I also bought a 1966 Firebird V w/oriinal case and the Pacemaker 12 as well as Pa/Amps/etc..Lincoln was a central stop for our midwest bookings from 1976-1980...nice folks to deal with...Small world sometimes...
Blessings...

I dunno.
Did you ask him??

It very well could be that the guy who owns #29 also has "a Life".

(but then again, he WAS at a guitar show . . .)

Has anyone else noticed that the look of guitars really hasn't changed since that picture back in '76, or even earlier for that matter? Sure, there are "trendy" looks like the 2080 & Al's Koa deals, or some Rainsongs, CA's, etc, but as a whole you could walk into a guitar shop today and easily re-create that same photo with current models. With all the reissues from Ovation, Gibson, Fender...it's like time hasn't even passed.

Then again, why mess with what works, right?
