Upon checking, my 1121 has a 2 5/8" saddle. Somehow that surprised me, cuz I had never measured them. I kinda thought that they would all be the same size  . I'm kinda slow sometimes. So where do I get shims? Any volunteers? Or do I send off to the Factory? Or is this something that I can get at the Local Guitar Shop? Always Learning...

But I kinda wanted on of them Higher-on-one-end type. My problem is string buzz on the high E. This thing came with really low action, but just a touch of buzz. And as always, I don't wanna mess with the truss rod when shims will work just fine. But I guess I could start whittling... Yee Haw!

Kinda what I thought that stuff was that I found in my 4861. But Greg is gonna help me out. But y'all don't stop suggesting. I file all this educational stuff for future reference. And so I can sound like I know what I'm talking about!

You want to use something that is about .030 thick which will give you .015(a 1/64th) at the 12th fret. Credit cards are great for this. Fornica would be good too. You want something that's not sound absorbing, something hard to vibrate well.
