Last night there was a biography of Les Paul on PBS, which wasn't bad.

But, when they got to the part on the history of rock and roll, the only guitars they showed being destroyed by rockers were Fenders, Jimmy Hendrix burning his, Townsend smashing his, while the Gibsons played sweetly in the background. Subtle, but funny.

Fender players smash their guitars out of sheer frustration. Buy G&L. :D

He has always been cool. That's how he managed to hook up with Mary Ford.

Anybody notice that (towards the end) the commentator recounting the development of the LesPaul guitar was Walter("History of the Ovation Guitar")Carter??

Even UncahBeal's BestBud Henry was on there (wearing the fugliest tie I've ever seen and playing (badly) the one chord he knows).
