It'd be a misconception t'think that the CarbonFibre cases'd be lighter. The CF is taking the place of a plastic "shell", not metal(or wood) components.

It IS a cool looking case, but I had envisioned something a bit "rounder" . . .

That's why they're so heavy.

Glad some people picked up on my analogy. I was thinking about a bear. Trying to picture one with one of those little flat hats.
Kids at the Milwaukee zoo, where they had glass instead of bars, used to tease Samson the gorilla until one day he hurled himself at the glass and shattered it. I hope those kids shat their pants, even though he didn't get through the glass.

Just great, but I haven't used it yet.
It looks great sitting there with the other cases.
Next week we'll give it a test on an open mic nite or down at NGW.

Based on recommendations from Temp and others here, I picked one up recently from an on-line retailer. Temp then sent me extra padding. The case is very light, well made, and already in use. The outside pockets are surprisingly useful, particularly the larger of the two. It easily holds my three-ring music binder! No more heavy case hauling for me.

That's what interested me in it too, was that it would hold everything including the guitar. I'll use it more in Florida when we go out several times a week and play. Nothing up here on the mountain but bears, turkeys, woodchucks and deer.

We've had two for 5 years now - don't even think about gig bags any more which is nthe highest compliment I guess. Superb.
