Since THEY're the primary purveyor of these, did'ya think they'd give a less-than-favourable review??

I always see their "reviews" as nothing more than full-page ads.

That said, I DO hope that they're flying off the shelves . . . .

...just curious; was the review inaccurate?

I thought PT gave it a fully British ThumbsUp... at least the review didn't trash Ovation.....

Exactly right. I've never read a negative, or even slightly unfavorable one.

ok.
it might be right place.
i want to change my electric, because strat doesn't fit me in any way.
i was thinking about music man axis supersport or Godin LGX-SA.
From what i see, VXT is another guitar from the wave of humbucker/piezo electrics... is it really better than something else? when i'll finally decide, i'll probably stuck with this guitar for a few long years, and i don't want to make mistake. I've played on both Godin and Music Man. From the ergonomical standpoint, i'd choose music man - it has better neck. from musical standpoint, i'd choose godin, because it sounds much better.
is VXT comparable to one of these? i don't have possibility to test drive it. i think the nearest VXT might be ovar 1000km from my home.

It's like a full page ad except you don't have to buy it. You pay the price in many other ways but not for that page.

Conceptually, the VXT is similar, but since I haven't got my mitts on one yet, I don't want to comment.

As to a musicman, godin or a vxt. From a construction aspect, since we're looking at a humbucker guitar, with a sideline as an acoustic, I'd go with the one that has the mahogany body. But that's just me, you have to pick the one you feel most comfortable with.

I confess to not having played all three, but if the neck is your primary focus, you will not be dissappointed by the VXT. It's got one of the best necks I've every played on, and the body is so light and balanced that it's almost effortless.

Sound-wise, other than needing some on-board acoustic controls, there is virtually nothing this baby won't do, so it should keep you happy for a long time. Just my two cents.
