...but how can any one write a story about composite materials and carbon fiber guitars without mentioning Ovation /Adamas ?

Maybe some one has already mentioned this but that is exactly what has happened in the article by Steven Stone in the Sept. issue of vintage guitar magazine(pages 84&86).True the CA GX Performer is almost entirely made out of carbon fiber/composites but there is not a mention of Ovation for changing the game in a major way.It leads the reader to believe that this is the only guitar company to have considered something other than wood.

Do my feelings qualify as righteous indignation? :>)

Regards,

Tom

My Adamas is made of Carbon Fiber! ????????
Holy Crap I gotta get rid of these plastic guitars.
They gotta suck, everyone says so.

By the way...........stopped int o our areas bigger guitar stores called Parkway Music the other night.
Played a few Taylors and a real nice sounding Jumbo Gibson acoustic. Seven high end Taylors about a dozen GIbson's and various Takamine and one down the line some great sounding guitars. Played a Crafter semi hollow body with one lipstick pickup that was actually unbelievably well built and one of a kind sound. I liked it enough to go back and try it again through an acoustic amp to see what that sounded like for the heck of it. Anyway they are an Ovation dealer............And by god Ovation dealer.... and like every time I go in there they did not have any good Ovations on the wall to try out..........They did have one.......guess what it was????????

An Applause......they had this on the Taylor wall....now how many people do you think who may have been thinking of buying an ovation would bother with these guitars ever again after compring this to one of the $2,300 Taylors or any of the guitars in there for that matter.
Makes me mad to see such bad stock evry time I go in.
