Joined: October 2006 Posts: 5575 Location: big island | 50 years old, staying at home, IN HAWAII, with a couple toddlers would not be too stressful if that's all that was goin' on. i'm also a stepdad to four grown children, two of which live here with us in a three bedroom house. they dropped out of school, don't work, don't have driver's licenses, are about the sloppiest young men i've ever met and their deadbeat dad never taught them respect. these guys are 21 and 19 and both think the world owes them a living. some days, i take it in stride and lean more heavily on the Everlasting Arms and other days i wanna lean on the arms of a different caliber! ;) oh yeah, almost forgot...my 18 year old daughter is coming to live with us in june. i might be able to do more gigs then cuz i'll have a babysitter though. | ||

You're welcome here, though. 2 of us in a 4000 square foot house with a 5 car garage, big yard and a pool and a cabin up in the woods. (man....i shoulda, coulda been a lawyer...if only i wasn't so overly concerned about my reputation... ;) ) | ||

The pool isn't open yet, but it's going to be in the 80s this weekend. If you can cure my slice, you could be my caddy, too. Somehow we haven't missed the sound of children laughing. The quiet after having teenagers in the house for so many years is kind of nice. | ||

Joined: October 2006 Posts: 5575 Location: big island | you're spoiled, mark. you wouldn't want to stay at our place even if there was enuf room. like i previously mentioned, we gave up a whole lot of comfort and "comfortable things" lifestyle by me staying home to nurture our new little ones. however, you are always welcome to big island. i welcome the chance for my wife and i to spend some time out and about with you and yours. we'll leave all four kids home! if we combined my hook with your slice we could both be golfically cured. :D | ||
