I have 2 Ovations, one 12-string and one 6-sting.
It's the 6-string that I am curious about whether anyone can help find some information on.
It is an Ultra series, made in Korea, the model is a 1528 the serial number is 173307.
I bought probably 10 years ago from an older gentleman who had it stashed in his garage and it reeked of cigarette smoke. He couldn't remember how long he had it. I aired it and the case out for about 2 months, then took it in to my guitar fix-it guy and had him clean it, go through the electronics (such as they are) and it sounds amazing. Never played a shallow-bowl before and it sounds really good. I just want to find out how old it is and maybe someone can tell me what the possibility is of putting fishman electronics in it.
thanks so much

Location: Denmark | Welcome Dolfinn, I have no valuable insight in the 1528 model. You may find some answers by the "Forum Search" (e.g. http://www.ovationfanclub.com/megabbs/search/query.asp?fid=0&action... ). The model has been discussed a few times. Or try the enhanced by google search field which will also search "Ovation Tribute" website which is really a treasure of knowledge on older Ovations and Adamas'es.
