Location: MA | I'm starting to play some acoustic gigs and would like to use and ovation USA.
I'd like a Super Shallow bowl and I would always be playing thru a PA. What's my best bet around $900 or less? |

For new, an 1868LX Elite or 1878T are both very good. Contact Al Pepiak at lostartvintage.com.
For used, an 1868 Elite or 1867 Legend can be easily found on eBay in nice shape with an original case for under $600. For more "bling" and about $100 more look at an 1869 Custom Legend. The Cl's are a bit harder to find.
Some current examples on the Bay:
1867 Legend
Another 1867 in natural
1867 with tuner and blemish
Al also has some used O's and his are always in great shape. |

in very nice shape
This probably won't sell at this price, but it's worth keeping an eye on. |

The adoption fee is very reasonable.

Location: Boise, Idaho | Bruce (Noah) is a very good guy and whatever he says about the guitar will be true. If he talks to you on the phone for an hour or two, just consider it part of the interview by the adoption agency to see if you qualify as a prospective parent. I somehow qualified to adopt a 1537 from him. That was kind of my initiation into this wacky group. Of course you couldn't go wrong with ttenn's Legend, either. But you wanted a shallow bowl and I'm really partial to red. |
