New to me is this beautiful Ovation 1537 Elite. She was born in 1983 and looks nearly unplayed.

Any 1537 is a great acquisition.. much more one that appears "nearly unplayed". Congratulations!

Grrr....I had many Ovations but the 1537 sb I should have kept...congratulations, yours is a very nice one, such a wonderful spruce top. Don´t use too hard strings, not more than custom lights, will sound better.

1537s are supposed to be the best Elite they made hope you enjoy it.

Detlef I have a Elite 1538 sunburst 12 string I got from you years ago did you have the 1537 also?
The 1538 spends to much time in its case as I'm hooked on Adamas 1688 12 strings anymore so if you want it back reach out to me and we'll see about getting it back in your hands.
