| Hi Folks
Well after waiting for many years Kaki King is coming to Connecticut and playing at the Kate in Old Saybrook!
If you've never been to The Kate it's a wonderful small venue with great acoustics. Tickets are 35 bucks so quite a bargain. I saw Leo Kottke play The Kate a few years ago and it's a great place to hear acoustic guitar.

Hope to see you'll there.

Location: When?? | Sure to be a real treat for those who are able to attend. Anything coming up on the west coast?
Me again-- I checked the website and see that there are no west coast dates yet in the works, but just wanted to also say that the little logo at the top of her personal website is quite classy and definitely catches the attention of the in-the-know eye at the very first second it comes up.

| Twas a splendid show at the Kate last week!
It was just Kaki and one guitar. She was amazing and engaging with the audience. She asked if we had any questions and just talked informally about anything folks asked.
She uses so many different open tunings and just zips through the tuning on the fly. Someone asked her if she played any songs with the same tuning as she was turning her tuning machines and she said "Apparently not."
She really loves her Ovation and doesn't think she could play what she does on any other guitar. She gets sooo much bass out of it. It sounded beautiful and balanced.
What a treat!
