 | It just doesn't look very Kaman-like as a company-approved issue.  Assuming that it is there with you in France, I'll toss in my guess that it's possibly a European knock-off produced at a time when demand for authentic Ovation cases was happening, but the regional supply was low or too expensive.  As for the lock on each latch.. who knows?  Maybe a sales pitch feature to be able to say, "It's better than an original Ovation case."  Either that or it's actually an authentic Ovation case and I don't know what I'm talking about.  Gee, imagine that. PS:: Do you have any photos of the interior??

 | I wonder why most guitar cases are black so that they heat up well in the sun within seconds. I painted several of my guitar cases in white because of that. Be glad that you have one, original or not.
