Location: chattanooga | Hello everyone. I recently purchased an older Ovation Ultra model 1578. It's a really nice guitar and plays and sounds fantastic. My problem is with the OP Pro pickup. It worked great for a while but now it won't seat properly into the receptacle housing inside the body. The left side fits good but the right side doesn't click into place and protrudes out about .25" and so the pickup does not work. Just curious if anyone else has had this problem and if so how did you remedy it? Thanks beforehand for any info. |

Location: Parkersburg, WV | There are two screws which hold the "tub" in place. Try loosening the two screws, then tighten just enough so the tub doesn't move on the body of the guitar. If the screws are over tightened they can distort the shape of the tub making inserting and withdrawing the pre-amp difficult. I hope it works. |
