Location: Italia, Zianigo di Mirano (Venezia) | this is one of my preamps: VIP 5. The same thing was on an OP PRO STUDIO . My trusted technician has sprayed some contact spray and the patina is gone. Someone on the Facebook forum told me that it is not correct to use spray ... |

The correct type of spray used correctly is correct. Someone else's opinion may correct me on that, and since opinions are not necessarily correct, the fact that the spray has eliminated the patina (at least visually), I believe the correct answer will be found in how correctly it functions in the guitar, and for how long. |
