Welcome! Unfortunately I have no definite answer but I would assume not more than 50 to 100. I had the chance to play one in a music store in Frankfurt and it was a wonderful sounding instrument. I prefer it to the other anniversary reissues.

Mark , you ever up Hebden Bridge way , could do with a good joiner ! Where did you get the guitar ?? , i was desparate to try a custom legend but nowhere round our neck of the woods stocked them , went to Frailers in Runcorn and they had a few baladeers but nowhere else seemed to stock US ovations , hope you enjoy the new guitar

I hate to do this.... but...

Andrea, you might find Paul Templeman of some assistance... as he is well versed in the music scene in "northern" England...
any trouble he causes beyond that, well, I just can't be held responsible....

If you keep your eyes peeled, rumour (ya like that, doncha?) has it, there may well be a black Custom Legend appearing on ebay-UK in the very near future.

Evening Jeff , the plan is to come out to florida to visit my mum and symultaniously feed current obsession of getting another guitar , Trader Jim has PMed me and been really helpfull , if i can bring a us guitar back with me i avoid hefty tax and shipping , so i want to look out on us e bay over the next few weeks for good buys , the problem being that 90% of the time US ebayrs will only accept us shipping address and us credit cards , could get my mum to bid for me but well if you met my mum you would understand why that may bring its own set of problems , need to buy something that is beautiful , good value and that i could sell if anyone discovers that my child is a vegitarian to fund my guitar habit , any suggestions ? Also will be posing question to you shortly on main board .....be afraid ....very afraid

andrea,i got it from johnny roadhouse music shop here in sunny manchester, but i had to pay top dollar for it,i`ve seen them on ebay.com for 1500 dollars,i even got offered one of the 12 strings for 580 pounds posted to your door from america, and the seller was even going to say it was a gift and put the value at 150 dollars,so i would`nt pay any import duty on it!,but i settled for the 6 string.

Temp moved to an island off the Scottish coast. They do not consider themselves in any way related to Northern England.

Andrea - I have a mint Black Custom Legend shallow bowl which is available at a ridiculous price. PM if you're interested - it'll be cheaper than lugging one back from the states.

To all brits - don't go with the idiots who say they'll call it a $200 gift to avoid duty and vat. Do you really think the excise people are that dumb? And you are an equally guilty party. You have to go to the customs depot to pay the taxes before you csan collect it - it's a little harder than ticking the wrong box online.

The other factor, apart from the illegality, is that if the courier trashes the guitar you've just paid a grand or whatever for, the insurance will only pay out to the under-declared value on the customs form.

So what did Temp do to get banned to a deserted Isle off the Scottish coast? Was it the llama? or the sheep? the goat with the 5 string guitar?

Do they have ferry service to it weekly? Do you still need a visa to get there?

Not true. Gaffa tape is only needed for considerably smaller mammals than the badger, such as kittens.

Push-pins work well too. But roach-clips are best.
