Hurrah off to Ameeeerica in Nov for a week . I would love to buy an Ovation from someone !! I am after a guitar that has a big sound , lots of resonance , the sort when you strum hard it rattles your heart , with lots of bass , not too bothered what model if it can meet most of those criteria , being a fairly shallow and superficial person nice looks would be helpful , love tobbaco sunburst thing but actually could grow to love anything if it ticks most of the boxes ( story of my life ) I can pay via pay pal or through American bank cheque which when cleared the guitar could be sent to Florida address from where i could take the guitar back to the UK . Unless Jeff lends me some money the budget is $500 ish . Thanks for reading this !

Hope this doesn't bite into the money your setting aside for the '08 Tour next Spring. You can find pretty much one of everything there to play and that might narrow down your choices.

'Course, then again, I might have that theory backwards too.

After listening to me try to play them, trust me, they'll be only to glad to let you!! (Actually, they may pay me not to play them--hhhmmm, gives blackmail a whole new perspective. :D ;) :D )

I can't even play them in the parking lot. I tried recently to remember how to play Stairway all the way through and then wondered why I was doing this. Even if I could get through the solo, I can't sing the high parts anymore and no one wants to listen to somebody else play it.

The parking lot is usually reserved for Jeff W's trebuchet, ammo and cell phone calls to loved one who could not make it to the tour. ;) :D :p
