Location: Colorado Rocky Mountains | I love SSBs. Always have, always will. These two prototypes have been hanging in my band room for about 15 years. Although the corresponding production models were deep bowls, these two prototypes were made in SSB configuration. The non-cutaway two-knobber model on the left has an Adamas headstock and a Kaman Music label bearing model number XSWA-4 and serial number 101382, the date it was built. I was told that it is a prototype of the 1537 model which is readily apparent in its features and characteristics. There is a finish crack on the lower bout. Otherwise, it is in excellent condition. Asking price is $1,495 OBO. The cutaway model has an Ovation headstock and the blue label inside says 1547 with serial number 110282, again, it’s date of production, with Op-24 electronics. It, too, is in excellent condition. Asking price is $1,295 OBO. Original cases included.
