But here it is... early Saturday morning, & I at least sampled every one of those clips. Wow... Melanie Safka.. the ultimate 60's hippy chick. I sure had a crush on her back in the day. And these clips demonstate just how Ovations, for a time, were THE guitar to play. Thanks PEZ!

They were more durable, sounded clear and warm and had acoustic electric. No one else had that for a long time. While the rest of the industry has catch up. So there more chooses now. The USA Ovations are still some of the best sounding acoustics out there. THe OP-24 with OPP still better than many systems out there now. The new OP-50 OP PRO and VIP sound even better. Some people go to another brand then come back like I did. 12 days till I pick up the 1719. Thats replacing a Martin D-28 for stage use. In honesty if there had been deep bowl no cut-away availaible in 2003 I would have bought one then. The only one in catalog CC01. I looking high end not low end. Another Local Guy played an Ovation bought Gibson SJ-185. Got sick of taking care it and traded that for 2 Celb Deluxes. I think one problem is many dealers don't stock Legend, Custom Legend, Elite, Custom Elite and Adamas models. I have NEVER seen a new Adamas on the rack ever in Connecticut. I saw one used one in 2004. I had seen one at factory in 1994. Untill Last May convention I never seen people playing them. I am sure they would see a lot more of them if high O were sitting next Taylors Martins Gibsons & Guilds. In most around here they are not. Ovation USA and Adamas can hold thier own next the other big names.
