| I'm on Kaki's email list and she just emailed out that she gave birth to a baby boy:
"Hey Everyone,
My son, Bowen Robert King, was born early in the morning this past Saturday. He is named for both an island I've never visited and a person I've never met, but he carries his own world inside himself that he will slowly reveal to me.
I am overwhelmed by the expansion of my heart to make room for both of my children. I have also been peed on 10 times in the past 4 days, each time more forceful and creative than the last. The joys of parenthood are strange and amazing."
Congratulations to Kaki!
Now if only we can get her to do a show in Connecticut. Infinity Hall in Norfolk is close to the Mothership and College Street Music Hall in New Haven is another great venue and gets a pretty good college student turn out. |

This is professional recognition at the highest level, and her entire family is both thrilled and proud that she was considered by the editors worthy to be included with such a company of giants.
