Location: N ATL metro | Got a used 1657 10th model (just vol-tone concentric knobs,FET VT circuit), and the wires inside are kinda flopping around, and you can see them thru the soundhole. Peeking inside I see there is a wire clip on the inside of the body aft of the battery box, and it is untwisted, with only the pickup wire in it. Seems both the pickup wire and the output wire should be held in this clip, right? I want to dress it up inside next time I change strings (which will be soon as much as I am playing it). While I'm at it I'll change the battery and tuck those wires as well, as they are kinda hanging out as well. Also something is rattling around in there and it needs vacuuming out. Prev owner must have had a cat or dog, because my terrier is very interested in the case. This morning he was sleeping in it! As long as he doesn't piss on it, that is OK. The guitar does need humidifying, but not that bad. |
