Top three:

Violent Femmes

Terri Hendrix

http://www.terrihendrix.com/discography.html

Martha Reeves

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K6wJlwuJ3VM

For Terri Hendrix, I incorporated her version of soul of a man (What is the color of a soul) with the Ramones I wanna be sedated. Very well received, going from a song about racism and the soul to nihilism, every audience has loved it. I also like her song Bottom of the hill. (She's a tacoma artist and survived the transition to fender)

Violent Femmes, you probably heard of american music ... Recently, I'm getting into that Folk Punk asthetic. This is a good version of the country death song. I still can't believe that in Brooklyn country is the underground music.

And Martha Reeves Heat Wave, well it's just fun.

What's your top three?

In Mike Ferrio of "Tandy" and Neal Cleary Brooklyn has produced two of the finest Alt-country songwriters on the planet. (Though Mike has recently left Willamsburg and is now living upstate) I played lapsteel with Mike and Mary Lee Cortez while they were on tour last month. I'm looking forward to working with Neal when he's over here in December

I've been doing a lot of driving with this new job, so I just leave it on shuffle. Always fun and interesting.

I just bought an iTouch (might as well jump all the way from 8 tracks to the latest technology -- bought a new car with the plug in for an iPod/iTouch), and I'm in the process of transferring cd's onto it. It's interesting because for about half of my cd's, I have no desire to put them on my iTouch. In a few weeks, I'll start shopping at the iTune store. This is getting interesting......

I've been on a bloooze kick lately, both listening and playing. Lots of John Hammond, Rory Gallagher, Delbert McClinton, John Mayall, Peter Green, SRV and the like on the iPod lately.

Hey Tupp, thanks for the tip on the East Village Opera Company. Great music done well.

I bought it the day after it came out. It's really good. Speaking of does any one know the chords to the song, Insider it's the one he does with Stevie Nicks. I looked online but the chords they have are wrong. I think its a G thing C and D thing but I don't know for sure.

Don't know exactly, but try A, E, D and F#m. It what he seems to use for about 80% of his tunes.
